MNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named an 11-man U.S. national team for a clash against the USA in a World Cup qualifier at StubHub Center in Carson, California.
The U.N. Qualifying Championship, which will take place on Wednesday (July 5) at 6 p.m.
PT (8 p.t.
ET), is the second-to-last match of the tournament.
The U.K. is also scheduled to host the U.R.L. in a match on Wednesday at 8 p.s.m., while Italy will host the MNT in a qualifier on Friday at 7 p.n.m.(Photos by Bill Streicher/Getty Images)”We’ve named a 10-player team that will play in this match,” Klinsman said during a media conference call on Friday.
“It’s not just about the players, it’s about the coaches, the players who have to be in the group, so we are very pleased to have the group that we’ve selected to be with us and to participate in this game.
The 10-man squad includes the two midfielders, who will be the No. 1 and No. 2 defenders, and goalkeeper Nick Rimando, who plays the No:2 role in the U-23 side.
The other five players are designated as attackers, midfielders and defenders.
The roster is expected to be announced at a later date.
The final match of this round will be on Tuesday (July 6) in Carson.
